Congressman Henry Cuellar is keeping a close eye on the status of the migrant caravan.
His district covers close to 300 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border and several cities which could prove to be possible crossing points for members of the caravan.
Cuellar says he has received several briefings from the Department of Homeland Security as to where the caravan is headed and what the likely crossing point will be.
He says the migrants have left Mexico City and the group is en route to Tijuana on the California border.
It will take about two more weeks before any of the 6-thousand members in that group will make it to the border.
